A Christmas Carol

For A Christmas Carol with Red Monkey Theater Group, I created a trio of illustrations that explore key themes of time, mortality, and transformation.

One shows Scrooge’s silhouette with the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come behind him. Another depicts a candle doubling as a grandfather clock striking 1 a.m.—the ghostly hour. The third features a hand reaching for a skull-marked coin, symbolizing the cost of greed.

Falling snow and chains allude to Jacob Marley, while a blue and gold palette brings out the cold of winter and the timelessness of the story. These designs were used across print and digital platforms.
